Thanks to your guys great work, here is my tank after only 6 months. My tank is a 46 bow front.
Lighting is a 96 watt compact flourescent
Substrate is Seachem Flourite
CO 2 will be Seachem Florish Excel
My tap water, from a well is hard, but I have never adjusted it and my all-fish tanks are doing great.
Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0
GH: approx 300 ppm
KH: between 180-300ppm
pH flux between 7.2 and 7.8
NH3: 0
Temp is set at 76, but can be adjusted.
Filter is 300 gal/hr Rena FilStar, with ceramic bio-rings, and carbon (which can be removed one plants are established) and all the pads that it uses for mechanical filtration.
Fish will be small-medium community fish, gouramies, tetras, etc.
